  • Please confirm that the ISBN been taken from this website http://isbnnew.inflibnet.ac.in/ will be used for books, which are published by publishers based in India or in case of Individual Author/Editor or Institutional Author/Editor the country of publication is India
  • You also indemnify RRNA in case of breach of confirmation given in Para 1 above. The responsibility for breach if any will lies squarely on you.
  • List of documents that are needed (depending upon the option that you choose) are:- 1)Scanned copy of PAN CARD of publishing agency/proprietor or director of the publishing agency. In case if the applicant is an author,author should have scanned copy of his PAN CARD 2)Scanned copy of proof of address of the publishing agancy/proprietor or director of the publishing agency . In case if the applicant is an author,author should have scanned copy of proof of address 3) Scanned copy of Udyog Aadhaar of publishing agency or Aadhaar of proprietor /Director.

Commercial Publishers are those who sell their books under their brand name and they have their PAN or AADHAAR NO in the name of Publsihing Agency or in the name of the proprietor/ Director of Publishing Agency

Institutional Publishers are those who publish books under some statutory authority and accordingly they do not have a PAN or AADHAAR NO. Example :-Publication Division of Government of India / Central/ States School board / NCERT /NBT/ Publications by Universities.Some proof of Identity of the Insititutional Publishers will be required later in this application.

Individual authors who are based in India, who are self publishing their book from India, should select Individual author

Individual Publisher (other than author) is the individual who is not in the business of commercial publishing (i.e. he is not into commercial publishing) however he is publishing the author's book in his/her individual capacity.The PAN/Aadhaar of the individual publisher will be used.)

Institutional authors are those India based Institutions, who wish to publish their seminar, conference proceedings ,research publications or occassional books. The Organisational ID proof and ISBN request letter will be needed later in this application. Example:- Seminars,books published by corporate houses or NGOs of the applicant.
